This term in Design and Technology, Year 2 have been busy discussing, designing, and creating their very own Perfect Pizzas. Building on their science learning about food groups, the children explored how to make their pizzas more balanced by choosing a variety of nutritious toppings. They practised their chopping skills carefully, preparing ingredients such as mushrooms and onions, before assembling and baking their delicious creations to take home and enjoy for tea.

The children showed fantastic resilience throughout the project, especially when trying new vegetables and deciding whether to include them on their final pizza. After some thoughtful taste testing of different toppings, they confidently selected their favourites to create pizzas that were both tasty and healthy. This fun, hands-on project beautifully combined creativity, healthy eating, and practical skills, making it a memorable learning experience for everyone involved.

Well done, Year 2!
