Gillibrand School Values

At Gillibrand, our six key values are at the heart of everything we do. These values shape our community and culture and are embedded into daily life through both our actions and our teaching. We believe these values help our pupils grow not only as learners but also as kind, responsible, and confident individuals.

Our Six Core Values:

  1. Kindness

  2. Honesty

  3. Perseverance

  4. Self-Belief

  5. Learning from Our Mistakes

  6. Pride in Our School

Each half term, we focus on one of these values, highlighting it in assemblies and encouraging children to reflect on and demonstrate it in their everyday school life. Our weekly Vision and Values assemblies celebrate and reinforce the importance of these principles.

Pupils have the opportunity to earn the Values Award by actively demonstrating the value we are focusing on. In addition, we celebrate positive behaviour and attitudes through our ‘You’ve Been Noticed’ golden stickers, which are awarded to children who show our school values in action across the school.

Our commitment to these values is also captured in our very own school song, written collaboratively by past and present pupils, which serves as a joyful reminder of the principles that unite us as a school family.
