This week, Year 2 have been diving into Place Value in Maths and have really impressed us with their enthusiasm and determination!
Using a variety of hands-on resources—including Base Ten, bead strings, straws, and Numicon—the children explored two-digit numbers in fun and practical ways. They’ve been busy building numbers and then partitioning them into tens and ones using place value charts and part-part-whole models.
It’s been fantastic to see their self-belief and perseverance as they mastered these new skills.
Well done, Year 2 – you’ve shown what Marvellous Mathematicians you are!
