This week Holly Tree Class have been developing their skills in mapping. The children learnt about the four main points on a compass rose and even learnt a ditty to help them to remember the correct order!
’Naughty Elephants Squirt Water!’
In pairs they found each point on the compass and then followed a series of directions to check their knowledge.
They enjoyed their learning but admitted that it was very tricky to hold the compass level and to move slowly enough for the compass to react to their movements.
